How we check the facts in this guide
A travel guide written by a clinic needs to show its working. This page explains where our information comes from, which parts are our own view, and how we keep it up to date.
Three kinds of source
| Topic | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Travel rules: passports, visas, emergencies | GOV.UK foreign travel advice for Turkey, read on the date shown on each page |
| Health and treatment abroad | The NHS, the General Dental Council, the Oral Health Foundation, the Civil Aviation Authority and peer-reviewed research, linked in each page's sources |
| Clinic licensing in Turkey | HealthTürkiye, the Turkish Ministry of Health portal for international patients |
| Precious Dental's own facts | The clinic's published prices, package, guarantee and team pages, labelled as ours wherever they appear |
What we label as our view
Some things in this guide are opinion: that Precious Dental is our top pick, that a short airport transfer helps on the day after surgery, that a written plan matters more than a low headline price. Where we give a view as a clinic, the sentence says “we” or “our”. Where we state a rule or a medical fact, there is a source at the bottom of the page.
Medical review
Every page that touches on treatment, healing or health is read by Dt. Hüseyin Yavuz Özbek, our implant surgeon (Turkish Dental Association number 49105), before it goes live. He checks that the description of the treatment is accurate and that nothing promises an outcome no dentist can promise. Travel and legal facts are checked against the official source, not by the dentist.
How often pages are checked
Each page shows the month it was last updated. Travel rules, such as passport validity and entry requirements, can change at short notice, so always read GOV.UK yourself in the week before you fly. When we find something out of date we correct it and note the change, as set out in our corrections policy.
What we do not do
- We do not publish testimonials or invented patient stories; reviews live on Trustpilot, where we cannot edit them
- We do not use AI images of patients, teeth or results; landscape images are labelled illustrative
- We do not quote other clinics' prices on this site
- We do not accept payment from anyone to appear in this guide

Checked October 2026. Where we give our own view as a clinic, we say so.
Thinking about the trip?
Tell us where you're flying from and what you'd like done. A patient coordinator replies in plain English, and will say so honestly if travelling isn't the right step for you.
